The Yazaki Group has established the “Code of Conduct” as a guideline for employees to think, make decisions, and take action on their own, and as a point of reference when they are uncertain or do not know what to do. We believe that each employee acting with pride in accordance with this Code of Conduct leads to the successufl implementation of the sustainability policy and to the further realization of thecorporate philosophy. 4-3. Ensuring fair competition

The Yazaki Group always operates under free and fair competition, and complies with the relevant laws including the Antimonopoly Act and the Unfair Competition Prevention Act.

We do not make agreements or engage in communications with our competitors concerning the prices, production quantities, geographical market areas, sales periods, or specifications of products and services, which are prohibited as cartel*1 practices.

We do not carry out unfair business transactions for products and services, such as tie-in sales or resale price maintenance or restriction*2 or other improper transactions.

We do not make false or exaggerated labeling of its products and services

We do not engage in any illegal activities such as obstructing transactions with competitors, improperly acquiring information on competitors’ new technologies or products, or unlawfully obtaining information from customers or business partners.

We fully understand and comply with the intent of internal rules established to prevent activities that may lead to or be associated with cartel conduct prohibited by antitrust and competition laws, in order to ensure that violations of such laws never occur again.

*1: A cartel means making agreements among companies in the same industry to avoid competition and secure profits by coordinating on matters such as price, quantity of production, and distribution channels. The term also refers to the agreement itself.

*2: Resale price maintenance or restriction refers to actions taken to prevent price erosion of products and services by controlling or fixing resale prices.
